Cracked screen
Cracks spread across the panel and can get worse every time the lid opens. The fix is usually a new display assembly.
Lines or colour bleed
Vertical or horizontal lines, colour bleed and dark blotches point to a damaged display panel or cable.
Dim or no backlight
The picture is faint or only visible under a torch. Often a backlight or display cable fault rather than the whole screen.
Black or flickering screen
The laptop is running and the keyboard lights up, but the screen stays dark. Often the display, sometimes another part. We check for free.
