Customer handing a smartphone to a repair technician at a walk-in counter

Best Tech Repair is open until 10pm every day, including weekends, inside Piccadilly Circus Underground Station. If your phone screen cracks, your battery dies or your charging port stops working in the evening, you can walk in without an appointment and, for most repairs, leave with the phone fixed the same night.

Many repair counters close when the shops do, but phones do not break on a schedule. This guide covers what you can get fixed late, what to do in the meantime, and how to make sure a late repair goes smoothly.

Our hours

  • Monday to Sunday: 10:00 to 22:00
  • Where: Unit 4, Piccadilly Circus Underground Station, London W1J 9HS, in the station concourse. You do not need to go through the ticket barriers.
  • Appointments: not needed for most repairs

What can be fixed in an evening

The most common repairs are also the quickest.

  • Cracked or unresponsive screens. Most screen replacements are done in about 45 minutes.
  • Batteries that drain fast or shut the phone down. We check battery health for free and fit most replacements while you wait.
  • Charging ports that are loose, dirty or no longer charge. Sometimes the cause is debris rather than a broken port, and our free diagnostic tells you which.
  • Software problems such as boot loops, freezing or a phone stuck on the logo.
  • Cameras, speakers and microphones that stop working.

For bigger jobs, such as laptop logic-board faults or serious liquid damage, we diagnose the fault that evening, give you a fixed price, and tell you honestly how long the repair will take.

Arrive in time

A 45-minute screen repair started at 21:45 cannot be finished by 22:00. As a rule, walk in at least an hour before closing for a screen or battery. If you are cutting it fine, call or message first and we will tell you whether we can start your repair that night.

What to do before you come in

  1. Back up if the screen still works. A cracked screen that still responds can fail completely. Back up to iCloud, Google or a computer while you can.
  2. Stop using broken glass. Keep swiping to a minimum and put tape over sharp or splintered glass to protect your fingers.
  3. If the phone got wet, do not use rice or heat. Apple advises against drying an iPhone with a heat source or putting it in rice, and recommends leaving it somewhere dry with airflow [1]. Do not charge it until it is dry, and bring it to us as soon as you can.
  4. Know your passcode. We test the phone properly after a repair, which is much quicker when you can unlock it at the counter.

Getting here late

Piccadilly Circus station is served by the Piccadilly and Bakerloo lines, so it is easy to reach from most of central London in the evening. We are about two minutes' walk from Leicester Square and Regent Street. If you are coming from Soho, Covent Garden or Mayfair, see our guide to phone repair near the West End. For late journeys home, check the TfL Journey Planner for current services.

Why a late repair does not have to be a rushed one

A fast repair is only worth having if it is done properly. Before we hand any phone back we test the repair and the functions around it, such as touch, brightness, colour, cameras, speakers and charging.
